eight months!!

I am playing catch up... Sorry!!
My sweet little Peyton is 8 months!!  She is becoming quite her own little being with her own personality.  I love everything about her.  Being able to be home with her all the time is the greatest blessing in the world.  I am beyond happy that I get to be there for everything.  She is continuing to get more beautiful with every day. I can't believe in 4 more short months we will celebrate her first birthday!
Here are a few fun facts followed by many more cute pictures!!

  • She is 25ish" and between 15.8-16 lbs
  • She is still wearing 6 month (some 3-6 month) clothes and size 2 diapers.  Love my petite princess1
  • She is moving all over.  Although she can't exactly crawl yet, she sure tries.
  • She loves bath time... We got her a seat for the regular bath tub and she loves to splish and splash!
  • She loves to smile at everyone when we are out, she is quite the conversation starter.
  • This past month she had her first Halloween, muffalate night (our family Veteran's Day tradition), and Thanksgiving!
  • She is not the best sleeper... Takes a couple naps (not more than an hour usually) during the day and wakes up at night... If she only wakes up twice it is sooo nice!
  • She absolutely loves her baby jumper/activity center.  I am fairly certain she will crawl for a very short time before she is walking everywhere.
  • She is fascinated by and loves tags... Doesn't matter what you give her, she will find the tag and proceed to chomp away.  It is absolutely adorable.
  • She can stand while holding onto the coffee table... Only for a few seconds, but this girl is a strong one.
  • She is teething away... She chews on everything and anything.  I think the top 2 teeth will make their appearance verrryyy soon!!
  • She is doing much better with food.  Her favorites are delicata squash and sweet potatoes.
  • She will drink out of a bottle!!  Only water... But, I am so glad she loves water, just like me :)
  • She is loves to play, and would play alllll day if she could.  She does not like me being out of her sight.  (More coffee for me, please!)

halloween time

For Peyton's first Halloween, I took her trick or treating at Santana Row with my mom, Grandma, and aunt.  It was a lot of fun.  She took candy from the vendors and proceeded to "eat" it with the wrapper on.  So cute!  And since Paul always works, we went to visit him and trick or treated there so he could see the little Sweet Pea in her costume.  All in all it was a success and I am already looking forward to next year!

seven months!

So, baby girl is officially closer to being 1 year old than a newborn. Definitely bittersweet.  I love every moment with our Sweet Pea, I just wish time could slow down!!

This past month it seems like she is well on her way to being a big girl.  It really is the most amazing thing watching her grow and learn.

  • She is 24 3/4 inches and is (approx) 15 lbs!
  • She is still in size 2 diapers.  She wears 6 month and 3-6 month clothes (although I just had to put away her first 3-6 month sleeper).
  • She loves to play with her feet and put them in her mouth.  She especially loves to play with them when she is eating, getting her diaper changed, or in her car seat.
  • She is making lots of new noises. She giggles and "yells".  Her little personality is definitely starting to come out and it is the cutest thing ever!
  • This is a big one... We introduced solids!!  She pretty much hated cereal... I tried mixing it with breast milk, fruits... No go.  I tried oat and rice.  Nada. The first things she liked was sweet potatoes! (This was my favorite as a baby too.) She did not like carrots or honeycrisp apples.  (I am making all of her food!) Other than sweet potatoes, she has liked avocado and banana.
  • Really, really trying to crawl... Maybe next month! :)
  • Not sleeping through the night anymore. :(  She wakes up every 2-3 hours.
  • She got her FIRST TEETH!!! Both bottom two middle ones are in. Teething was not so fun for her, but glad she gets a little break before the next ones.
I think that is all the fun, new, and exciting stuff this month.  I love our Sweet Pea.  Here are some pictures from her 7 month birthday.  Enjoy!

Uesugi Farms in San Martin
Paul and I have always loved fall.  We couldn't wait for it to get here this year so that we could do all kinds of fun things with our Sweet Pea.  First on the list of course was her first trip to the pumpkin patch!!  We are lucky that we have such an awesome one near us.  Uesugi farms has a huge pumpkin patch and fun stuff for the kids.  There is a corn maze, train, hay ride, carousel, and more!  Although we had fun this year and got some super cute pictures of Peyton, it will be even more fun next year when she is bigger and can run around and play.

She really is 2 feet tall, she just wasn't standing up straight in the picture.
My loves!

Where's Peyton?

The family!

She wanted to eat the hay!
